Digital time zone clocks

Digital time zone clocks are a favorite purchase of the US Government. Custom digital time zone clocks are great for military bases, government offices and offices overseas. These LED clocks come in red, blue or amber and can display numerous time zones. The name of the place can come in Vinyl labels or be digital as well. The brightness of the LED's allows individuals to view them from a distance. These clocks are visible approximately 40 ft for every 1 inch of character height.  Standard models come in 1.8", 2.5" and a 4" digit height.  Popular places many customers include on their orders are: Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, LA, NY, Washington DC, Zulu, etc. The great thing about these clocks is they are custom and allow personnel to constantly be updated to various time zones all over the world.

Public schools are turning to digital signage!

Many public schools are turning to digital signage in the form of LED marquees and indoor LCD high definition monitors where they can input and control the content as needed. Schools are becoming much more technologically savvy and are encouraging their staff and studets to do the same. LED marquees are popping up at campuses and administration buildings all over the country. LED marquees are a fantastic way to inform the community about school sports events, theatre shows, PTA meetings, teacher/student recognition, testing dates, etc. The possibilities are endless. Indoor LCD high definition monitors come packaged with custom content software that is simple to use. Schools can can do all of the above with this type of signage indoors. These monitors can be placed in the hallways, offices, cafeteria or gym. They can display trivia facts or vital campus information. In the event of an emergency, safety information can be delivered all over campus, indoors and out, with the push of a button. There are several grants available to schools who use digital signage as an additional means of providing campus or community safety. Weather information can also be displayed on a daily basis or emegencybasis.

Digital signage at the mall

Digital signage is popping up all over malls and shopping outlets. I went shopping with my family last week and delibertly tried to notice how many forms of digital signage there were. As we approached the entrance, I noticed a digital signage map of the entire mall. This was an interactive, touch screen kiosk. It was really neat and simple to use. The customer can select from a list of stores presented alphabetically or by type of store. The kiosk will show visual directions and a set of written directions from that location to the store. In addition, the kiosk shows the customer valuable information such as store hours, promotions, hourly specials, etc. The customer can even print coupons for the store directly from the kiosk. As we made our way to several stores, we passed the movie theatre. The theatre had the current shows listed on a LED board. More digital signage! We then passed the food court, where I saw LED menu boards and LCD or Plasma menu boards. Wow! The LCD/Plasma menu boards really make the food look delicious and very hard to pass up. So after we got a sandwich and a drink, we proceeded to shop. Several retail stores had digital signage boards with store information, clothing sales and promotions and mall happenings. Digital signage is really working!

A 6ft Ice Cream: A Picture Really is Worth a Million Dollars!

Does digital signage really work? I'm living proof it does. Yesterday I was out running errands and drove by a McDonalds. This McDonalds recently had an old dingy looking static advertisement board. Everyone has seen these, the ones with the big "M" and then enough space for about two lines of very short text where half the letters are falling sideways. I'm not even really sure what the message read. Most of the letters had fallen off the sign and the letters remaining were either crooked or spaced too far apart to read. About 20 minutes later, I drove past another McDonalds. This one was different, they had a bright, flashing LED marquee that caught my attention. They were advertising specials of the day and then a delicious Oreo McFlurry, at least 6 feet tall, popped up on the marquee. That was it. SOLD!!!!!!!. I couldn't pass up a tasty treat that looked that yummy. I pulled to the drive-thru and ordered a McFlurry. And a burger. And fries. And a large Coke. You get the point.  A picture really is worth a million dollars!

Digital signage sells products

Digital signage sells products. Specifically digital signage that can display graphics or pictures. Consumers are more likely to impulse buy when they can see an appealing picture of an item. For example, last week I was driving by a travel agency. I had noticed they had a new LED sign a few weeks earlier. The new sign caught my eye due to the bright colors and moving messages. The agency advertised several specials to different beach destinations. This definitely peaked my interest in a summer vacation. However, this week the travel agency really capitalized on their new digital sign and added pictures. Now when you drive by the travel agency, you see pictures of rolling waves, blue water, white sand and a family smiling and relaxing on the beach. Now instead of just making me want a vacation, I pulled into the agency and BOOKED me a vacation. I couldn't resist. A beach vacation is just what me and my family needed and now we are headed to Florida in July.

Digital signage at the movies!

Digital signage is now taking over at the movie theater. I'm not talking about in the theater itself, but out in the lobbies. Last night, I went to the movies with a group of friends. Being in the digital signage industry, I can't help but notice LED's and LCD screens everywhere I go. This particular theater had LED signs at the entrance of the theater displaying a list of all the current movies and showtimes. As we walked in, there was a hugh scrolling LED marquee that literally rounded the interior corners of the lobby. The theater was advertising upcoming promotions and giveaways at their location. Next to the ticket line was a Digital Poster board with upcoming movies scrolling through.  The Digital Poster was entertaining as we waited in line, but also made me want to return to the theater in a few weeks to see a few other movies that I hadn't planned on seeing.  As I turned around to get some popcorn and a drink, I noticed the menu behind the concession was changing every few seconds. It was a LCD screen with changing menu items with awesome pictures and descriptions of the food.  WOW! Digital signage was EVERYWHERE in this theater. I'll have to say, the signage probably has already paid for itself. At the concession, items just become more appealing when there was a clear picture of the products (i.e a picture of a huge, buttery bag of popcorn or an ice cold drink or slush) rather than if the menu had just read "soda" or "popcorn". Pictures, graphics, and inticing images sell products, not words. Needless to say, I have found my favorite movie theater now!  It was exciting and entertaining long before we even took our seats!

Digital signage really works

The other day I was driving down the road and saw a new LED marquee at a Chicken Express. I was on my way to the taco restaurant next to the Chicken Express, but once I read the LED marquee, "FREE large drink with any purchase" I changed my mind. Me and three friends took our business to Chicken Express instead of the taco restaurant. I'm pretty sure we were not the only ones influenced by the LED marquee that day. Since then, I make a deliberate effort to read the LED sign at Chicken Express to see what deals they have going on. I have seen them advertise for half price meals for that specific hour, free drinks with any purchase, free side order on your next visit, etc. LED signs offer effective advertising like no other form of marketing. Restaurants and businesses that still put flyers on the windshields of cars are just wasting money. Most flyers end up as street trash, thrown by the driver in the back seat, or used as scratch paper. ENTECH SIGNS, http://www.alpha-led.com/, says LED marquees will show any business a quick ROI, Return on Investment.

Digital signage in retail

Digital signage can enhance a customers experience while shopping. Whether the customer is in a grocery store, clothing store, hardware store or convenience mart, digital signage can be beneficial.

*** Digital signage can promote specific store brand items. When retailers have their own line of products, digtial signage can help increase sales of their brand items by displaying specials and showing interesting graphics of these items.

*** Digital signage can increase impulse buying. When customers are in the store browsing, digital signage can be advertising daily specials or even items that are only on sale that hour. Whether the customer needs it or not, many purchase the item because it was "on sale" at the moment.

*** Digital signage decreases perceived wait times. Retailers know that customers hate waiting in lines to check out. It has been proven that when customers waiting in line are given something to entertain them, they perceive their wait time to be shorter than it actually is.

Digital signage for hotels

Digital signage in the form of industrial grade LCD screens with custom content software provides hotels a tremendous service to its employees and guests. Digital signage can be updated and changed numerous times to maximize its effectiveness. When hotels have a large number of guests or when hotels host special events, digital signage can play the role of several employees. These LCD screens can inform guests of bar and restaurant specials, opening hours of the pool and work out room, or advertise special entertainment on site just to name a few. Hotels can also generate additional income or even obtain the digital signage for nothing by selling out time slots from local businesses. Many local companies would love to advertise on a hotels digital signage screen in hopes of luring potential customers that are staying at the hotel.

Benefits of having digital signage

Although there are numerous benefits of digital signage over static signage, we will examine just a few. ENTECH InfoDisplays says digital signage is the best from of marketing because:

* The location is known and movable--LCD screens with custom content can be moved from one location to another with relative ease. This allows the user to maximize the digital signages' effectiveness. Ease of movement also allows the end user to market or advertise a product near the product itself. Research shows that consumers are more likely to purchase a product when eye catching advertisements are displayed near the product or service.

* Information is eye-catching--Digital signage draws attention unlike any other form of advertising. Static boards and banners can go unnoticed because they do not stand out from other stores signs and banners. The movement, color and brightness on digital signage is extremely eye-catching. The human eye simply cannot ignore a message or picture that is moving and displayed in bright colors.

* They run themselves, literally--Digital signage is time friendly. Signs and screens can be programmed to run at specific times and specific days. The end user can determine what information will be most effective as the audience changes throughout the day or even night. Static signs and banners can only deliver one message. Digital signage allows unlimited messages to be delievered 24 hours a day.

* Current and local events can be shown-- Digital signage allows the user to display internet or news feeds. Local weather and traffic can be shown to potential customers. World events can be scrolled or shown on the screens thus informing customers and providing them with a better overall experience as they wait or shop.

Digital signage in stores

Does digital signage in a store really work? Last week, I was at the mall and noticed several LCD screens with custom mall or store content. When I walked into the mall, the entrance had a large, interactive digital screen with a map of the mall. If the customer wanted information on a store, they simply touched the name of the store or its location on the map. The interactive screen popped up with verbal and visual directions to the store, coupons for that particular store, specials of the day and information such as store manager and their phone number.

Once inside several of the stores, there was more digital signage. Advertisements were displayed to catch the eye. Specific brands were promoted, sales items were highlighted and even customer reviews on many of the items within the store were showing. Digital signage is fabulous for those of us who impulse buy! I walked away from several of the stores with WAY more than I had intended to buy.

LED signs really do work for advertising!

Yesterday, I was driving down a busy road in my hometown and saw an oil change business had a new LED sign by the road. The sign had a simple message "Check your sticker. If you are overdue, come on in and we'll give you a deal". Did it work. Yes. I immediately checked the date of my last oil change and sure enough I was overdue. I pulled in the store and was given great service and a great price on my oil change. I decided on my way home to deliberately look for other oil change businesses and read their signs. One of two things happened. Many of the static message signs had letters that were falling off, crooked, or were spaced too far apart to comfortably read. I did notice a few static signs that had similar messages to the store with the LED sign, but I had driven by them numerous times a day and NEVER had noticed them. The brightness and movement of the message is what INSTANTLY caught my eye with the LED sign and therefore, got my business.

Many school districts, both public and private, are using ENTECH'S InfoDisplays digital signage to inform their students, staff, parents and the local community of school events. Hotels are using digital signage in many areas

Many hotsels are purchasing digital signage in the form of LED marquees and LCD screens with custom content for their premises. An LED sign brings in the business

What do most people say is the key to success for a business? You typically hear: location, location, location. To maximize the potential success of a businesses location, many stores are turning to LED or digital signage. LED/digital signage can bring in the customers that are already right next to your business. This greatly increases the sales of business products to impulse buyers. LED/digital signage also allows your business to be known as a city or town landmark. When these signs display basic information such as date, time and temperature, people begin to take notice of your business.

Benefits of LED signs

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A LED SIGN VS A STATIC MESSAGE BOARD?

1. The message you deliver is NOT limited to the size of your board. With LED signs, your message can be as long or short as you'd like. The message can scroll through several screens or the letters can be minimized.

2. You focus your message to those individuals that pass by your location daily or weekly. This greatly reduces advertising costs because you aren't marketing to people who live hours away.

3. LED signs can be easily changed from within your building so you or your employees don't have to face harsh weather conditions to change a message.

4. LED bulbs are long lasting and very energy efficient. No more displaying partial messages because the static letters have fallen off and no more leaving the same message up for months because it is a pain to change.

5. LED bulbs are bright which means they can be seen from very far away. Cars that are near your business, but just a little too far away to read a static message board never know your business has something to say.

Synchronized time clocks can help students get to class on time

Accurate, synchronized time can keep an organization running smoothly. Schools depend on synchronized clocks to keep students on time when they move from one class to another. When all clocks are synchronized to the tardy bell, it leaves no interpretation to whether a student was tardy or not or how much time is remaining to get to class.  Hospitals and other healthcare facilities depend on synchronized time to help in record keeping and delivery of medications. Many synchronized clocks run on Power over Ethernet or PoE. This means the clocks receive both data and power from the exsisting network servers. Devices that use PoE usually means a lower installation and operating cost to the customer. PoE also has a power backup meaning the clocks never become inaccurate or unsynchronized.

Educational settings are implementing Digital Signage to make campuses safer!

Recently, the Department of Education, completed the final parts of emergency management notifications and reporting for educational settings. Institutions of higher learning must have proof of a mass emergency notification system about campus safety and fire management. Once a serious threat has been confirmed, campuses must follow procedures to insure the safety of students and faculty. They must also notify the community of information, as appropriate. LED/digital signage is a fantastic method to follow the guidelines that have been established by Congress.  The School or University can notify students, faculty and the community with the push of a button.  Updates are also a breeze to send to the Digital Signage when appropriate.

Warehouse management--LED signs

LED Solutions for Material Handling

By integrating LED displays into a real-time warehouse management system anyone can walk into a warehouse environment and visually see order status, priorities, and many other relevant productivity measurements. Improvements in order fulfillment accuracy and material flow efficiencies can be obtained. Five critical areas where LED displays can be used are: inventory management, storage, receiving, picking and shipping.
Outside of shipping, displays can be used to provide concise driver information such as queing information, priorities, pickup times, departure times, wait times, truck directions and any other specific dock door status. Information is derived from either the dispatcher or the WMS program based on scheduling, dock availability and load priorities for each facility. This would replace the use of a simple dock number or flashing light.
Once the unloading process starts, the lift truck drivers need to know what is required to come off of the trucks, where they need to be stored and the priority of the load. Displays placed over each receiving door on the inside can provide direction at a glance as to where the pallet or load must go whether it is a staging area, another dock for reloading, or a specific aisle or storage area. Again this data can be driven manually by the dock manager or via an automated process.
